Bipolar Uncovered
Hello Friends..
It has been a while since I have posted anything on the Blog so I decided I would talk with you today about a couple of different things.
My brother is doing fine now and actually just had surgery, nothing serious, just something that unexpected “popped up”. The good news is that he is recovering and is in great spirits. In case you did not guess…it was a hernia.. It was quite funny to listen to him when he called me about it. The guy is so amusing when he is himself.
More great news. I have finally tracked down two psychologists in two different cities who deal with Bipolar Disorder patients. I made an appointment at both doctors and we will choose who we feel can better represent my brother. I am very excited about this and would like to thank two very special ladies you have been instrumental in getting both doctors lined up for me.
Thank you Kelly and Aimee. I appreciate you both and your concerns and hard work has paid off.
I will keep all of you updated with our results. I am not quite sure what to expect but check back here to see what happens..
Now then.. Here is a great book someone referred me to today.. So I am sharing this with you.

It does cost around $27 but the info inside of it is quite amazing.
Until next time..Later Friends and please stay well and be safe out there
Jerry
PS: A comment is appreciated as always..

In 1971 I studied body chemistry balancing with Melvin Page, DDS. He developed a series of measurements to determine inherited glandular pattern. He treated over 4000 patient and ran over 40000 blood chemistries. They had the full range of degenerative diseases and some were bipolar. The bipolars had a characteristic glandular pattern of a severely underfunctioning posterior pituitary gland. He wrote an article on the posterior pituitary gland which is on my website http://www.pittsburgh-dentist.com I am explaining his technique with a series of videos on YouTube under rforbes1, When I am finished there should be about ten videos in the series. I have taken posterior pituitary for almost forty years and my son has taken it for about five years. We both are bipolar with no problems or relapses.

Hello. I am new to this site. I hope I’m not out of order or anything. This original post struck a sensitive spot regarding finding qualified psychiatric help. I was diagnosed with BPD, Type II, rapid cycling, mixed state a number of years ago now. My journey through the management of this illness was long and hard. From my own experience, and I’m sure you’ve had similar, finding a psychiatrist that specializes in BPD is very difficult yet crucial. I was fortunate enough to be part of the STEP-BD program. The doctor that worked with me was one of the main researchers, Dr. Calabrese. I learned a phenomenal amount about the illness, medications, and treatment. It is a bit scary to see how little many other doctors know about it. I have explained to other doctors what I was taking, why, and what I needed in accordance with the research Dr. Calabrese does. I have since moved and am now working with a group that knows of the STEP-BD research. It is refreshing and I have trust in them, something lacking in most others I’ve seen in the past.
The result here is that I am able to maintain a fairly stable baseline of emotion and behavior. Most of the time. I do have my moments always brought on by certain types of stress. Part of my maintenance program is to find work where such stress does not exist. It certainly isn’t perfect but it has kept me from crashing totally and kept me, at least, functional. Quite refreshing since doctors from my past have prescribed the diametrically wrong thing.
Hi, my bestfriend’s brother who I consider like a brother as well is bipolar. He is in a episode right now. He is so intelligent and talented. He doe not want to take his meds now and his family is trying all they can to get him to his dr. I saw your you tube video and I was so moved by your courage and desire to share with us your frustrations. Our frustration is the our loved one has to seek theraphy together with medicine. His family does not know what else to do. I do agree sometimes the mental health professionals do not give the best care. We are trying to find him some psychotherapy help. Our priority is to stabalize him. My heart goes out to the family well my family. Tonight was a night I just did not know what to say to comfort them . That is when I searched online and I found you. Thank you for sharing. I would like to know how your brother is doing and has he recovered from his surgery. I will keep you in prayer as I would ask you to keep us in prayer. I am trying the best that I can to offer the family support as well as my friend who is bipolar. My heart goes out to you and your family especially your brother.
Thank you so much this really helped me a lot I will let the family know of your blogs.
My son, Gordon, is Bipolar, plus he also has some other challenges, such as mild schizophrenia and Immature Personality Disorder. He is now 40 years old and is in a faith-based Rehab Program. They are recommending that he go to a Mental Hospital to get stabilized on a new medication because his Depakote med for bipolar no longer is working. I have a trusted referral for a near-by Mental Health facility (next city west of where he’s at), and will be talking with them on Monday as to wheather they can help my son. I’m trying not to get discouraged, but it’s a struggle some days. I came across your website, accidently, in trying to find more information about that mental hospital. What a blessing!your web site is. The book “Bipolar Disorder Uncovered” looks very helpful. I’ll check that out. I also thought the comments about the Pituitary Gland by Raymond Forbes was interesting too. I check that info out further too.
Thanks for all your on-line support. I really need it right now. Darlene
I see nothing for over a year since this last post…I am wondering if the psychologists were able to help and your brother is more stable now?
Thank you,
Dusty
