Hello
My Friend.
My name is Jerry and I
have a brother who has Bipolar Disorder.
I basically created
this website and the
Reality
Based Blog attached to this website out of frustration and out of
personal pain and hopelessness.
You see people who have loved ones with Bipolar Disorder
never know what to expect and what mood their loved one will be in.
Feeling very confused one day, and not knowing where to turn to I
created this site and the Blog so I could reach out to other people
with similar experiences. I was also hoping that every nugget
of information I would learn about would help me better understand
my brother and the things he personally was going through. His
feelings are very important to me and I know it cannot be easy
living with Bipolar Disorder.
My goal was to build a community of people who personally have
Bipolar Disorder or as I stated above have loved ones with
Bipolar Disorder.
So it is pretty much
safe to assume that if you are reading this you found me through
your search for information on Bipolar Disorder, and I am
certainly glad you happened to find me. I believe that we were
meant to find each other as we have a lot in common. You are
either someone who has Bipolar Disorder or you have a loved
one with Bipolar Disorder or perhaps you know a friend who
has it or maybe you are simply looking for information about
Bipolar.
Whatever the case may
be Welcome To My Little Corner Of The Web. I hope it will
bring a smile to your face.
One thing that I want
to mention which is the most important factor of this site is that
it is what I call my Love-My-Brother project. I admire
my brother deeply. We have been through some wonderful and not
so wonderful times. The not so wonderful times were
experienced before his diagnosis with Bipolar Disorder and I
experience them still, depending on his episodes.
Coping with
Bipolar Disorder daily is not an easy thing. It is
confusing to many people especially those who do not understand what
Bipolar Disorder is. A great example would be my friends who cannot
seem to understand the way he acts and the "CRAZY THINGS" he does. They
often say hurtful things about him due to
their lack of education about Bipolar Disorder.
So that is why when I
hit rock bottom with
my brother one day I decided to put together a website dedicated
to helping those with Bipolar and so on.
To be honest with you,
I ran out of hope, so I figured why not use the power of the
internet and find people who personally have Bipolar Disorder,
or folks are in my shoes.
I said to myself
...Heck...Maybe I can start a Blog and an e-mail newsletter and help
others and through that I will naturally help my brother.
"What You Give Away
You Always Get To Keep"
I scanned the internet
for information on Bipolar and thankfully I found TONS of it. But
most of it I find accidentally through my daily experiences with my
brother. This is the information no one can teach you.
it is a first hand experience which is pretty much priceless.

It is nice to know
that there are other people out there who can help us with
problems like Bipolar Disorder. I have found that the
absolute best resources are the ones that come from people who are
directly, indirectly, or personally affected by Bipolar Disorder.
Are you aware just how many people are affected
with Bipolar Disorder within the United States?
There are more than six million
of them. That's right, more than six million
Americans have to cope with Bipolar Disorder personally.
This number of course does not include family members.
There are many articles, books, and audios, about
the topic and I will share as many of those with you that I can.
Most importantly of all, by me constantly searching for information,
it helps me better understand my brother and how he personally
feels. It must be very challenging to have to live with
Bipolar Disorder.
I know that within my
resources there is something that can help you cope.
Lets stick together and learn together.
I originally had the newsletter set up to send out a series of
messages which were Bipolar related but after thinking about
it I decided to make the newsletter reality based. Meaning,
that every time I post to the Blog, I will send out an e-mail
letting you know that the Blog has a new post thus giving you a
chance to respond with your feelings on the topic. I often post
something when my brother goes through a certain mode. It is
kinda like a reality based educational Bipolar Disorder TV Show.
Plus I have found that it is an excellent way to
interact with the Bipolar Community.
I simply love to get into the minds of the wonderful and
often extremely talented people with Bipolar Disorder. I have
learned tons about myself through my brother with one of the best
attributes which I have inherited being.. Patience.
Lord knows we all need more of that sometimes.
Don't Give Up Hope.
You Are Going Through This For A Reason. Hang In There You
Will Make It.
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR READING
THIS PAGE. And If You Signed Up For The Reality Based Blog
Updates Newsletter, I Thank You Kindly.
With Love and
Concern From My Family To Yours.
